The flagship gift
Open a House
Establish an Odysseus House near a campus: a beautiful home within walking distance of the quad, anchored by a host family, and meant to be owned outright so that it stands on its own.
Odysseus Network
You can’t sail the voyage for them.
Odysseus Network raises and stewards the resources behind the whole mission: the homes near campus, the weekly table, the mentors, the retreats, and the teaching that forms young people for life.
Why this work
A rally lasts an afternoon. A home near campus, a family who knows your name, and a mind trained to think clearly last a lifetime.
Every fall, young people arrive on campus with values their families spent eighteen years instilling. Four years later, too many graduate having quietly let them go. Not because they were argued out of them, but because nobody stood beside them.
A respected local family opens a beautiful home near campus. Weekly dinners around a real table. Mentors who know each student by name. Retreats that forge lifelong friendships. And formation in logic, rhetoric, character, and the great tradition.
The houses, the dinners, the retreats, the mentors, the curriculum. The Network raises and stewards every resource behind the work, so what you build stands for generations.
What giving builds
Frame a gift around a real thing: a house, a table, a seat on a retreat bus, a course taught well.

The flagship gift
Establish an Odysseus House near a campus: a beautiful home within walking distance of the quad, anchored by a host family, and meant to be owned outright so that it stands on its own.
A semester or a year
Fund weekly dinners at a house. The table is the front door of the whole mission, the first place a student says yes.
Per student
Underwrite the multi-day retreats where the deepest friendships and the strongest convictions are forged.
Odysseus Lyceum
Support the teaching itself: logic, rhetoric, character, civics, economics, the great books, and the instructors who bring it to life. Delivered through the mission’s educational arm, the Odysseus Lyceum.
“Odysseus made it home, but not alone and not unprepared. He had a crew to row beside him, wax against the Sirens’ song, and a mast to hold him fast.”
The college years are that voyage, and every student deserves what Odysseus had. You can’t sail it for them. But you can build the ship: the home near campus, the table with a seat waiting, the mentors, the training in clear thinking. That is what your generosity sets afloat. And because we steward every dollar for the long term, what you build stands for generations.
Where your gift goes
The Network holds the resources. Two sister charities do the work: one at the table, one at the lectern.
The campus communities
A respected local family opens a beautiful home within walking distance of campus. There are dinners every week around a real table, mentors who know each student by name, and retreats that forge the friendships of a lifetime. Two of every three dollars the Network raises goes here, to the houses and the people in them.

The teaching
The Lyceum teaches live online classes for students and families, including homeschooling families, and writes the curriculum used around every table.
An open invitation
Few gifts anywhere offer this much to see, touch, and taste. Sit at the table, meet the students, and decide from there.
